Our Leadership Team

Dayle Coe 200Dayle Coe - Headteacher

As the new Headteacher at Chapeltown Academy I am extremely proud and excited to have the opportunity to work with the students in the local community and help mould them into successful and aspirational adults. The support they receive here helps all students to achieve their full potential and go on to the top universities in the country. Our ethos is firmly based around a strong pastoral care system recognised by OFSTED in the first inspection and a drive to inspire students to academic and personal success. I very much look forward to meeting many of you on our open days so we can show you our amazing facilities, dedicated and passionate staff and how we have achieved the incredible A level results this year.

 Helen Deighton- Deputy Head TeacherHelen

As Deputy Head my role within the college is largely that of pastoral support. This encompasses being the college’s SENCO as well as the lead on mental wellbeing.

I work very closely with our two progress leaders on driving the House system and all the associated activities and events.

The close knit community of Chapeltown Academy makes for a great place to work and study. Our students are central to that community and their personal and academic success is what drives all of us each day. I look forward to meeting you.

Michelle Hughes Progress Leader for Y12 and Laura BarlowProgress Leader for Y13

A Level studies are probably the hardest students will ever face as the transition from GCSE to A Level is huge. Nobody says it will be easy but we believe that everyone is capable of significant progress and achievement. We see excellent pastoral support as a vital aspect of the student experience at the Academy.

As Progress Leaders, we are here to support students, offer feedback and reassurance if needed and help them to become more resilient and independent, so that when they leave here they have all the skills they need to succeed in life.

We have every confidence that every student can achieve their targets, goals and aspirations if we all work together, because that’s what Chapeltown is all about!!
